The short version
- Atlas Chalk is for football coaches. It stores your account, your program and your plays.
- It never stores anything about your players: no roster, no names, no ratings.
- We don't sell your information, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers.
- Payments go straight to Stripe. We never see your card number.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or for us to delete it, at any time.
What we collect
Account. Your email address and a password. The password is stored as a hash by our authentication provider; we can't read it.
Your program and playbook. Program name, level (youth, middle school, high school, college) and schemes; the plays you draw or save, with their names, diagrams, situations and tags; and your staff's own names for formations and concepts (“aliases”).
Billing. Your subscription status, seat count and trial end date, plus the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us. Stripe holds your payment details.
Technical. Two cookies (see below). Our hosting provider records standard request logs, such as IP address, browser and time, to run and secure the service.
What we never collect
Atlas Chalk has no place to store information about players. There is no roster, no player names, no positions or skill ratings tied to a person, and no film. Plays are diagrams of positions (X, Z, Q), not people. Please don't type player names into play names or notes.
How we use it
- To run the product: sign you in, save your playbook, print your play sheets.
- To bill you, including the 7-day free trial and its end date.
- To contact you about your account, including during and after your trial. You can ask us to stop non-essential emails at any time.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We don't use your playbook to train AI models.
Who processes it
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job listed:
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting.
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
- TypeSafe: suggests which standard formation or concept a staff's own term means. It receives only the term you typed, your program's level and our standard football names. Never your plays, your account or anything about players. Its stated policy is not to train on what it receives.
We'll also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users.
Cookies
Two cookies, both needed for the product to work: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers which of your programs is open. No advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and playbook for as long as your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and your programs' data within 30 days, except billing records we have to keep for tax and accounting. Backups roll off on their normal schedule.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, export your playbook, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have these rights by law. We'll answer within 30 days and won't treat you differently for asking.
Children
Atlas Chalk is for adult coaches. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. We don't collect information about the players a coach coaches, whatever their age. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Each program's data is walled off from every other program's at the database level, and access is limited to its members. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We'll post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also email account holders before it takes effect.
