Who we are
Atlas Chalk is software for football coaches, at atlaschalk.app: a play designer, a playbook library, a printable PDF play sheet, game entry and, for high school and college programs, a player portal and game-day analyst seats.
These terms are an agreement between you and Abundance Atlas, Inc., of Charlotte, North Carolina (“we”), which sells Atlas Chalk. You agree to them when you create an account or subscribe.
Your account
You can sign up with an email address and a password, or with Google. An account is free and needs no card.
You must be 18 or older to hold a coach account.
Programs and staff
A program is one team, such as varsity or JV; each is a separate program, and a program is what subscribes.
The coach who creates a program is its owner, and only the owner invites coaches. A program has as many coach seats as it pays for, and no one new joins past that number.
Plans and prices
- Free: one coach, with the play designer, the playbook, the PDF play sheet and game entry. No card.
- Program: $10 a month, with 3 coaches and 40 player portal licenses. Each coach after the third is $2 a month.
- Game-day analyst seats, for high school and college programs: $3 a month each.
Subscriptions are billed monthly by card through Stripe, starting with a charge at checkout. A seat added during a month is charged pro rata on the next invoice. There is no free trial; the free plan is how to try Atlas Chalk. We never see your card number.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes. We give 30 days' notice before a price change.
Founding programs. A program whose paid subscription starts on or before February 28, 2027, or that joins through a partner association, keeps the monthly prices in this section for as long as that subscription stays active. If the subscription is cancelled, the price lock ends.
Cancelling and missed payments
The program's owner can cancel any time from Manage billing, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Only the owner can cancel.
A cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.
When a subscription ends, the program goes back to the free plan. Nobody is removed and the playbook stays. The paid features stop, no one new joins past the free plan's one coach, and the program's players can't open the portal until it subscribes again.
If a payment fails, the paid features pause until the card is updated from Manage billing. The playbook and the staff don't change. If the card keeps failing, the subscription is marked unpaid and we send an invoice.
Refunds
Refunds follow the refund and cancellation policy.
Your plays and your data
You own the plays you draw.
The privacy policy says what we store and what we never collect. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use your playbook to train AI models. A club, school or federation that adds its staff or players can read our data processing agreement at /dpa.
Each program has a setting, “Share anonymized results to improve the platform prior”, which is on until a coach turns it off in Settings. While it is on, the program's play results are pooled with other programs' at the same level into anonymized, aggregated rates that feed the platform baseline. Those rates name no program, play, game or opponent, and are kept only where at least 3 programs contribute.
To delete your account, email us. We delete it and your programs' data within 30 days, except billing records we have to keep for tax and accounting.
Players
Only high school and college programs can invite players. Youth and middle school programs can't, because those teams include children under 13. Players join only from a link their coach sends, and sign in with an authenticator app. A coach is asked for a player's first name and last initial, and nothing else about them.
A player under 18 joins only with a parent's or guardian's approval: the join page asks for it with a box that must be ticked.
Players see only the plays their coach assigns. Please don't type player names into play names or notes.
Suggestions
When you add your staff's own name for a formation or concept, Atlas Chalk may suggest which standard name it means. It is only a suggestion: nothing is saved until you choose one and press Add.
